Hi! My name is Ms. Jill Richards and I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher this year! This is my 21st year teaching at Cox; 19 years in Kinder, 2 in 1st. I received my Bachelor of Arts in history from UC Berkeley and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in education from Cal State Long Beach. I hope one day to receive a Doctorate in Education.

Both of my sons, Owen (9, 4th grade) and Elway (7, 2nd grade), attend Cox as well. We live in Long Beach with our dog Thunder, our cat Ozzie, our gecko Sharkgirl, our Beta fish Aqua, and our our bearded dragons Pancake and Bitsy. I love football, especially the Broncos, being outdoors, and exploring. Most of my time is spent playing with Magnatiles and Legos. The boys and I are active in Cub Scouts, enjoy cuddling in bed watching shows, and like going on family bike rides.
