Mrs. Richards has been teaching at Cox since 2005. She loves teaching and has taught both kindergarten and first grade. She received a Bachelors in History from UC Berkeley, followed by a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Long Beach State. Mrs. Richards has a passion for leadership and advocacy in education, and has had the opportunity to be the president, among other positions, of the Fountain Valley Education Association. She lives in Long Beach with her wonderful husband, dog, cats, and turtles. As you can tell, she loves animals. During her free time, aside from traveling the world in the summers, Mrs. Richards is a part-time rock star as she sings in a rock and roll band. She also loves to play softball with her team, the Regulators, every Thursday night.
