Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!

Welcome to another wonderful year at Cox Elementary! Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time, I am so glad you are here.

One of my favorite parts of being principal at Cox is greeting students each morning and watching them grow in confidence throughout the year. Every child who walks through our doors brings unique strengths, talents, and dreams, and it is our privilege to help each one discover what they are capable of. At Cox, we believe children do their very best learning when they feel safe, connected, challenged, and known.

My hope is that every student leaves Cox each day feeling like they belong, that they learned something meaningful, and that they know there is an adult at school who truly knows them, believes in them, and cares about their success. When students feel valued and connected, they are more willing to take risks, persevere through challenges, and discover the joy of learning.

Our mission continues to guide everything we do: Through school and community collaboration, all students will develop confidence to strive toward their academic potential and become lifelong learners and quality citizens in a safe, respectful, and rigorous learning environment.

This year, we will continue strengthening high-quality instruction, building meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities for every student to thrive. Our school values, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn, remain the foundation of our work and help create the positive culture that makes Cox such a special place.

We know that a strong partnership between school and home is one of the greatest predictors of student success. I encourage you to stay connected with your child's teacher, participate in school events, and reach out whenever you have questions or ideas. Together, we can make this a year filled with learning, growth, and joyful experiences for every child.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly a privilege to serve the Cox community, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together this year.

It's always a great day to be an Eagle!
