Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! 

I am truly excited to welcome you and your students back for another amazing year at Cox Elementary. Looking back on last year, I could not be more proud of the incredible progress and accomplishments our students achieved. Their hard work, perseverance, and growth were inspiring and I know this new school year will bring even more opportunities for success.

Our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: Through school and community collaboration, all students will develop confidence to strive toward their academic potential and become lifelong learners and quality citizens in a safe, respectful, and rigorous learning environment. This year, we have exciting plans and initiatives designed to further this mission, ensuring that every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired.

We know that strong partnerships with families are essential to achieving these goals. Last year, working together with parents, teachers, and staff, we developed a new Home–School Compact which is a shared commitment that outlines how we can work hand-in-hand for student success. I encourage you to take a few moments to review this document as you prepare for the school year. Staying connected with your student’s teacher throughout the year will provide many opportunities for collaboration and ensure we are all moving in the same direction to support your child’s learning.

This year, as always, we will continue to emphasize our core values of being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. These values guide our daily actions, shape our school culture, and help prepare our students not just for academic success, but for life beyond the classroom.

Please remember that our doors are always open. If you have questions, concerns, ideas, or simply want to check in, you are welcome to connect with your child’s teacher or stop by the office. We value your voice and look forward to working alongside you to make this a memorable and successful year.
