3= Meeting End-of-Year Standards (Sufficient Progress) Indicates student has demonstrated proficiency in grade-level standards for the content area or standard strand.

2=Progressing toward End-of-Year Standards (Making Progress) Indicates student may not have demonstrated proficiency in the end of the year content area or standard strand. They are progressing and will likely meet end of the year expectations as they continue to participate. It is probable that many students will receive a "2" on the 1st/2nd trimester progress reports/report cards because instruction is helping them make progress toward meeting end of the year proficiency. For trimester 3, a "2" would mean the student has achieved some proficiency and made progress but might have some knowledge gaps in some content areas or standard strands.

1=Minimal Progress toward End-of-Year Standards (Needs to improve, private tutoring needed if possible)
